Home-delivered meals increase by more than half

Since the COVID-19 outbreak, MEOC’s home-delivered meals program has experienced a significant increase in numbers served. The number of delivered meals increased by 52 percent in a two-month period. The program provided slightly more than 11,400 meals during April to seniors in Lee, Scott and Wise counties and Norton. About 8,745 meals were delivered in March, up from about 7,500 in February.
